Yesterday, I decided to take the day off from papercrafts, but that isn't to say that I didn't do something creative. At one point in my life, I made jewelry on a daily basis, but it has been awhile since I felt that urge to do a bit of beading. That is until I received the latest newsletter from a bead store called Panopolie talking about their bracelet class: Here.
Unfortunately, with the baby, it is impossible for me to take classes right now, but I loved that bracelet so I decided to see if I could copy it and figure out how it was made. These are what I came up with last night while watching The Shop Around the Corner (the original version of You've Got Mail with Jimmy Stewart.)
This was my first attempt:
This is my second version:
The second version on my arm:
I am happy with both the bracelets (and the movie was fun too!!) Now I think that I need to buy something new to wear with them. :p BTW, those cool buttons for the closures came from the super-cool stamp store in Midland, Texas (Thee Little Bazaar.)
And for today's something creative (and just because she is darn cute!), I have to share some photos of Kat from our photo shoot this morning.
Isn't she the cutest little thing? I think that I may have to get those Cosmo Cricket papers back out for these photos...
BTW, I will be back with more of my inspiration series tomorrow.
smiles,
Christi

Great pictures of Kat--how cute! It's also nice to see the jewelry. That reminds me of the fun I had making some jewelry with you when we visited y'all in England. (Whew! What a long sentence.)
I also love "Shop Around the Corner"! I love how one scene in particular was replicated almost word for word in "You've Got Mail." (restaurant)

Love those bracelets and it doesn't surprise me in the least that you can look at the picture and reCREATE them!

Oh lookie at Kat! She is such a cutie.
And, can you be any more creative? Girl you amaze me with the projects you do. These bracelets are so cute, love the buttons you put on them, and they look even better on your arm.
Oh, and I like old movies too. But I don't think I have ever seen this one, but I think I need to.

UM -- YES! She is the cutest little thing ever! What a DOLL -- I just love her sweet little smile! Give her hugs from Auntie Rita please!
And your bracelets are gorgeous - I've had the urge to make some jewelry again lately. Now to dig my supplies out of the overrun closet they're in! :)
She is adorable!!!
And I love the bracelets.
Just hearing you say how you can't take classes right now actually made me feel good because I feel as if I need to be doing more with a new baby sometimes but I need to just relax.
