Yesterday was rough so I decided to do a bit of scrapbooking therapy...
The journaling says, "Today I broke your heart. Your 8 months bloodwork to check your thyroid levels. 4 sticks before the nurse found a vein. A whole hour of you screaming while I held you down and kept you still. It took 3 hours at home before you were breathing calmly and normally again. I am so sorry that you have to go through this little one. I know that it doesn't make you feel any better at all, but just know that it totally broke my heart too."

Oh Christi, The poor little darling. No doubt Kat has had heaps and heaps of cuddles since she calmed down.
Oh! Poor little baby...hope everything comes out normal.
its good to see pages of not so happy memories either.
Ouch! I am so sorry for both of you!
It's so hard when we have to do these things for their own good but deep down we wish we could just run away and *protect* them.
((((Hugs))))
What a beautiful page with calm colors. And I'll echo Shalini: it's special that later on she'll see things like this that touched your heart.
Your layout is gorgeous -- that photo so precious -- and your post/journaling just absolutely breaks my heart. Poor little sweetie! Give her a hug for me -- and one for you too because I know as a mom -- that had to be just horrible! ((hugs))
(And I finally "returned the love" to you on my blog with the You Make My Day award! :) )
Awe......It is soooo hard when they are little...

How distressing for you both, but I have to say, that is a wonderful LO - I'd like that paper as wallpaper in my house!!
I'm a wimp, taking Thomas for jabs is DH's job (mainly because he stands up to the nurses, and makes them do it his way).
Sending extra comforting hugs your way.
Hugs to you both Christi xxx
So sorry to hear that yesterday was so tough :(...I don't have any little ones yet but I can only imagine how difficult it would be to see your little one in that position...Hugs to you both!
Awww, the lo and photo are just precious. I can just imagine how that must have hurt your heart.
Oh, poor little one!! And I can feel your pain too, Mom. ((( HUGS )))
I had to take Meadow for her chicken pox vaccination when I was babysitting her the other day and I was really worried that she'd cry alot. But it was a subcutaneous (under the skin) one and she didn't even flinch. Such a trooper!
