Limelight Papercrafts Sketch Day!

Post #1 of 2 for today!

Another effect of Spring time-change....
when you work on your project last-minute the night before, it is later in the morning before you have decent light for photography.

Sorry about that! I need to either get better about my time management
or build myself a light box...LOL!

But anyway, here is our wonderful Limelight Papercrafts sketch for today....
The Deets:
**Use the sketch above and try to incorporate your favorite RIBBON!!
**Key word for SCS upload is LLPC043.
**Post a comment with a link to your card on the LPC blog challenge post by Sunday, March 21, at midnight (or before winner is drawn Monday).
**PRIZE ~ One lucky winner will receive a Jillibean Soup ribbon package of their choice!!

And here is my interpretation of the sketch.
Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Could I be Any Cuter?
*Cosmo Craft JoyRide 6x6

Be sure to check out what the other Limelight Chicks have created for this fun challenge....

Happy St. Patty's Day!!

Hello everyone!
Oops!
How did I fall so far behind on blogging?
I had no idea how long it had been since I updated.
Sorry about that!

There has been some REALLY exciting stuff happening around here that I should be able to share in the near future and that has had me a bit distracted.

Add in the return of my husband after 6 months deployed, and well, the blog has just kind of fallen to a back-burner!

Sorry about that!
********

So, how has your St. Patty's Day been?

We (Ben, Kat, and I) spent the day in St. Louis touring the Budweiser facility. Best (FREE!) tour around and it ends with 2 free beers...what's not to like about that?!?!

Just a few random pics from our day! If I am good tonight, maybe tomorrow I will have a layout to share using these photos for Unity Thursday!

And because I have neglected you so this week, here is a quick card share....

*Paper Makeup Stamps Ashlie's Solo Snail
*Paper Makeup Stamps Dream Big
*Scenic Route paper
*eyelet trim

Playing with The Beeez Kneeez!!

This is post #2 of 2 for today.
My Unity Stamp Store kit of the month post is located below this one.

This post is all about Amy's Caffinated Cropper new kit club and this month's kit, The Beeez Kneeez (you can purchase it by using the paypal button on the top right of Amy's blog), that I finally got to play with last night! It is such a fabulous kit. I love all the different embellishments that Amy has added to it because there are sooooo many creative possibilities! LOVE THAT!

So far, I have created two cards, and omg.... I cannot wait to play some more because my creative muse is LOVING this kit!! (you can see photos of the kit and the complete supply listing on Amy's blog post HERE.)

For this card, I did add the white card stock, but absolutely everything else on these two cards came from this incredible kit. I paper-pieced the flower and can I just say that I love these Nicki Silivis stamps....they stamp so clear and crisp!

For this card, I created the scallop edge using my Fiskars border punch and highlighted it using the Cinnamon Stickles (yes, included in the kit!)

There are a couple of things going on over on Amy's blog.

ANOTHER GIVEAWAY!!!
a package of
Jenni Bowlin Vintage Bingo Cards
are going to go to a random poster today
who leaves the DT some love and
then comes back and posts on Amy's blog!!
Winner will be announced tomorrow morning!!

Ok
Now it's time for the hop!

(she doesn't have her kit yet,
because she's all the way in Japan
but leave her some love anyway)

Blogger Stampin_melissa said...

The longest days will probably be the few just before he returns, but then you get to bask in his love and presence!! So happy for you! I have until January for my DH to return so I do envy you a bit (just a little bit though!) :D

I too love to read and don't fall asleep well with DH not home. I love to read military action (fiction & non-fiction) so I'm sure I'd enjoy these! I'll definitely check them out even if I don't win.

It is so sweet of you to celebrate your hubby's return with us! Hugs!

The Paper Makeup Release Day is finally Here!!!

Have you been watching the Sneak Peeks for Paper Makeup Stamps all this week?
This is an incredible release and we are finally to the day when you can actually buy it!

But first up today, you will want to do the blog hop.
That way you have the code to get a discount on your order.

So, if you didn't come here from Lisa M's blog, then you need to do this hop right by starting at the Paper Makeup Stamps blog and Katie will give you the instructions on how to do the bloghop correctly and I will see you back here again in a little while...
**********

And now that you are back, here is my card to share with you today.
I love this poor drenched little Sourpuss.
In college and the early years of adulthood, I had a yellow tabby named Twix that had this look about him whether he was wet or not (yes, he was a bit neurotic,) so I just had to color this one yellow.
Supplies used:
*Paper Makeup Stamps Sourpuss
*Paper Makeup Stamps Sunshine Sentiment
*K&Company paper (yellow)
*Sassafras paper (stripe)
*Bazzill paper (embossed polka)
*StazOn Jet black inked
*watercolor pencils
*Nestabilities Labels 13
*button
*cotton string
*Fiskars border punch
*twill ribbon

Don't forget to join us tonight in the Paper Makeup Stamps forum for our release party where we will have lots of fun chatting and prizes.

And now you need to hop on over to

...but before you do, don't forget to make note of your letter from here...
