Hip-Hopping along the Bunny Trail...

Well have you had an egg-stremely fun day looking for all your eggs??

Hopefully you have found them all and are tallying your numbers because you are at your final destination...this is the last blog on today's hop!

I have a couple of projects to share with you (or three) and then we will get to the fun part...the free stamps! But before we get to my projects, did you hear about the Cosmo Cricket fun this month...every kit of the month has some Cosmo in it! I love Cosmo and in honor of their awesome support this month, I used CC on ALL of my projects today...yippee! {I even used it as an excuse to buy a bit more for my stash... ;o) }

This first project is a layout that I did using some of the pictures from Monday. It's titled Love Ewe 2 Together. I loved that I could mix and match the stamps from the new kit, Love Ewe with the stamps from the kom to create that fun title for this layout about DH and DD.

The paper on this is the Lil Man collection from Cosmo Cricket, but I think that it works perfectly for these photos with Kat too...I love the colors in this line!

The journaling says, "Kat & her daddy- This day he had just gotten back from a week-long trip and she was not going to let him out of her sight. She loves her daddy so much and he adores her too. ~March 16, 2009"

My Creative Muse likes Spring!!!

Naptime was VERY productive today which is good since tomorrow is hip hop!! There is just something about listening to the birds singing which does good things for my creative muse.

Since I can't share what I have been working on today (yet), I will share a super-quick card that I made yesterday for the SCS color challenge. The colors were red, golden yellow, kraft, and optional black. This is what I came up with...

It also works with our Far East theme that we have for this week's EYC! I love double-duty projects!! ;o)

Supplies used:

*Martha Stewart border punch

I hope that the birds are singing loudly in your neighborhood and that the weather is warm enough so that you can open the windows and listen to their song...

TONS of fun stuff to share today!!!

I am LOVING life...it is supposed to be almost 80 degrees here today with perfectly SUNNY conditions. I LOVE IT! The windows are open, the birds are singing and all is right with the world. ;o)

It was a gorgeous day yesterday too so we went to the local farmers market, Eckert's. Everyone in the area knows this fantastic place and we are lucky to live only 5 minutes away from it so it is a super-easy trip to pick up our produce and to take a few fun photos!

The blog post today is two-fold, but it is all about being inspired by art.

I was asked to hostess this week's inspiration challenge for the scrapbookers over at SCS and you all know me...I love inspiration that comes from other's art! It's been a Fabulous Girls' Weekend!!

{be sure to click on the photos to see them full-sized.}

It has just been Kat & I around the homestead the last few days as both of the guys are out of town (in different locales) so we have been playing and shopping and simply having fun for the last couple of days.

We started out the weekend with a bit of shopping. New shoes from Target for both of us...getting ready for our Springtime wardrobe.

And I finally broke down and bought a bind-it-all using my 30% off coupon. Now I just need to find the time to figure out how to use it and find something to bind. ;o)

Then yesterday we went to a gorgeous and amazing little town called St. Charles. I have talked about it before here. While it is a beautiful little town that is great for wandering and photography, I really went because I wanted to check out a stamp store that is there. Unfortunately, I was shopping for embellishments & ephemera, but the store was pretty much just stocked with stamps and paper (and I have MORE than enough of those items...LOL!)

So we ended up just wandering around town, taking photos and enjoying the absolutely gorgeous day that we had here...

Another pair of new shoes for Kat. I know that I have mentioned her obsession with shoes before (here), but it actually seems to be getting worse. Last night she flat-out refused to let me take these off...and remember that we walked a TON yesterday so her feet had to be tired, but NO- when I tried to take them off last night so that she could go to bed, she just threw a fit. I have been having issues with her fighting going to sleep lately so I just gave in and she slept in these shoes last night. So it's officially been 24 hours since these shoes have been off her feet (except for diaper/clothes changes.) I am not sure that we both are going to survive this two-year-old year.

Like I mentioned before, St. Charles is this gorgeous, picturesque little historic town on the Missouri River. You can see the wonderful old train depot in the background of this photo. This park runs along the river and about every 10-15 yards is one of these park benches. Kat insisted on sitting on every one of them and then she would spend her time hopping over the center bar...I just knew she was going to fall and bust her head open.

I loved this building. I would guess that it was some sort of old carriage house from the design of it.

The town has worked really hard to keep the ambience that it has, including little vignettes like old wagons sitting in random areas.

It's been a really fun weekend and today is supposed to be another gorgeous day...

I hope that you are all having fun weekends too!

Giving the boy some time on the blog too...

Kat is so cute and girly and so much fun to scrapbook, that it sometime's feels like the boy is getting his fair share of the scrapbooking/blog time. I did this layout early last week. I just love this photo of Jacob... he seems to be growing up so fast right now....

I got to play with a couple of new Unity stamps on this one, that wonderful clock (Time of Your Life) and the fun journaling box (12 Months of Goodness Journal Box.)

Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Time of Your Life
*Unity Stamp Co. 12 Months of Goodness Journal Box
*Unity Stamp Co. Distressed Dots background
*American Crafts paper
*Pink Paislee stickers
*Bazzill Cardstock
*StazOn Jet Black inkpad

It's a girls weekend around here this weekend (Jacob and Ben are both gone) and we are debating as to what to do today. Our options are going to a new stamp store that I haven't been to yet (but then I would be spending money that I shouldn't), go to the farmers market for some much needed produce, or simply go play at the park and take some photos. Who knows? We may actually do them all. Kat has decided this week that she doesn't need a nap anymore and going out helps to combat the crankiness.

It's a HipHop Rewind!!

For today's Unity Stamp Co HipHop, we are re-visiting some of our older kits that we all loved so much!!

For my project, I played with Beautiful Life. This was the first kit that I actually ordered with Unity. I LOVE EVERY stamp that came with the then-kit (now they are all available as singles- Yippeee!)

Rhonna Farrer has been discussing where everyone finds their inspiration and I was talking about how much I get from Kat's gorgeous little clothes so she issued a challenge to create a project around those items. You all know that I LOVE a good inspiration challenge so I just had to do this one and pulled these items out of Kat's closet (although I will tell you a little secret about the outfit that Kat is wearing in this photo...until that day, it hung for about 3 months on my pantry doorknob simply because the Spring feel of it made me happy through the winter months!)

The outfit has great little details like the criss-cross stitching on the belt loops so I tried to emulate those same little details on my layout.

Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Beautiful Life
*Unity Stamp Co. Colossal Flower
*Unity Stamp Co.
*Making Memories Chloe's Closet Journaling Spot
*Martha Stewart border punch
*Prima flowers
*Bazzill Cardstock
*CTMH Desert Sand inkpad
*Memories Brown inkpad
*ribbon
*brads
*corner rounder

And a quick reminder for all of you that have been debating joining the kit of the month club. Here is March's kit...

This month Angela is running a special... There is a special she is running right now for $15 off a past KOM for NEW kit club members who sign up this month. Also Cosmo Cricket is sponsoring a FREEBIE for EVERY SINGLE kit club member this month. new or old! AWESOME!

Now you need to head over to the wonderfully talented, AnneMarie's blog to see what gorgeous layout she has to share with you this week...I just love her stuff!
