Slower than your average person...

I *think* that I may finally be getting this Mac thing...it has taken 2 books and approximately 20+ hours on here fiddling with buttons, but I think that I am starting to get it. This is one of those moments when I wonder how the heck I am going to be able to function at 50+ when I already have this much trouble on something that everyone tells me that they had no issues with...*sigh!* ... and I am only 38!?!? It's all been VERY frustrating.

But I do have tons to share with you all so I hope to blog every day this week to get it all up... and then Unity has some super fun stuff coming next week so I will be blogging each day next week too if everything goes according to plan. So stick around, some fun stuff coming AND I have a bit of fun for YOU at the end of this post since you all have been so sweet and supportive as I have gone through this transition period!!

I have so many vacation photos to share, but I will just share one today and probably do a vacation post on Wednesday. This is a photo that Jacob took of Ben & I. We are standing below the ruins of a castle that was built at the turn of the century, but burned in the 40's. I have some very cool photos of it... it made me very reminiscent of England and our explorations there, but I will definitely have more to share of that on Wednesday's post!

At the very last moment of packing, I decided to pack up a mini-stamping kit. I almost always take my stamping supplies with me when I travel, but I usually don't find the time to play with them. Well on this trip, we had rain 4 out of our 5 days there which meant that we spent a fair amount of time inside which translated into stamping time for me. I am so glad that I brought some of my supplies!

This is one of the cards that I made using the Unity Stamp Co. April kom, Fresh Beginnings. I just LOVE this little bird image! Do you see the text that goes around the bird... that is a separate stamp so you could circle that around most any small-medium sized stamp. I love that and there are 2 of these in this kit!

Supplies used:
*Memories Brown inkpad
*Free papers that came with The Scrapbook Magazine issue 36
*copper brads
*Cuttlebug Swiss Dot embossing folder

Now, as a thank you for all of your support and patience while I have learned how to use my Mac, I am going to give away this Unity stamp kit, Love Birdies. Leave a comment on this post here and I will announce the winner Saturday morning so share that I am doing a stamp giveaway with your friends so that they can have a chance too!

Christi,
I don't know if I could pick up the whole new computer system thing at 41! Love my PC have to say and although I hear MAC is the way to go I'm too old to start over. Great pic of you!
Have a fabulous week.
Blessings,
Sandy

Christi, I'm so glad you are getting the hang of your new computer! I think the adjustment was easy for me since Dustin already used a MAC so anytime I had questions, there was a live person there ready to show me. I would send him to you but he's been gone for too long already. ;)

Beautiful card! I love what you did with the sentiment!

Okay, hold on here you young chickiepoos!!!! As a young 51+ woman I will tell you things can be learned after 50!!! ;) And I enjoy challenges more now!! Once the kids are out of the house you'll clear a space in your brain! (hehe!) And maybe clear a bedroom for your own work space! LOL And Christi, love your card...how do you decide what supplies to take with when traveling?? Have a great Monday!!
