Meeting Friends...

Let me preface this blog post by saying that I am an awful person. We moved to the St. Louis area in July. I was so excited about moving here because I have so many friends that I know from online that live in the area, but have never met in real life. BUT when it comes down to actually calling them up and meeting them, I am AWFUL! In fact, I have only done it one other time since we moved here (hi, Amy!) until this weekend.

I got to meet these two Unity gals this weekend, Amber and Robyn...

...and OMG, they were just as much fun (if not even more fun) in real life as they are online. Robyn lives in St. Louis and Amber is here for a week for a work conference, but she's been living in Japan for almost a year so she was ready to head out and SHOP!!

Of course, our first stop (after FOOD!) was the LSS...For Keepsakes. I think that we all agreed that we had entirely too much fun in there! You would think that Robyn and I don't have access to all the LSS' that we do...LOL!

The girls were drooling over this swiss dot Bazzill and then Amber conveniently bought some shorts at Old Navy that looked just like it...so cute and fun!

At lunchtime, Robyn was loving my camera and playing with what it could do...I think that she may just have a Rebel in her future!

BTW, if you are ever in St. Louis...
*first, you better look me up (do as I say, not as I do!) and
*second, if you are traveling with Robyn...she is a genius with stamps and paper, but I am thinking that sense of direction is just not her forte...bring your GPS! {I'm just saying...}

************************
And now an interesting tidbit from the weekend...

You tend to think that there are certain things about a woman's vanity that we are taught by society...case-in-point, women and their shoes. Well, I am here to tell you that this is definitely NOT the case.

Kat is 22 months old and she is most definitely a girly-girl and as a girly-girl, she does love her shoes. Just last week, we had a meltdown in Kohl's because I wouldn't let her try on some shoes. But anyway, back to this past weekend. We were going out on Saturday and it was a warm day. She had some sandals that she had received when she was born that she had never worn. I knew that they were just on the edge of being too small so I grabbed her normal shoes to take with us.

After our first stop, it became apparent that the little sandals were just not going to work because they were too tight (they were clear with little flowers all over them so we could see where they were pushing on her feet.) When I took them off of her, I was shocked to see that she had actually already rubbed a blister onto the arch of her foot, but what I was even MORE shocked about was the fact that Kat threw an absolute FIT over the fact that I took them off of her. She was screaming-crying and trying to put them back on and absolutely refused to let me put her other shoes on her.

Can you believe that? They had to be hurting, but at this age she already felt that the pain was worth it because they were cute!?!? I think that I have a diva on my hands already...

{aren't these little magnets darling? They are an etsy listing from PureVintageGold.}
