A Bit of Fairy Tale Fun....

The theme this week for Exercise Your Creativity was "Once Upon a Time..." I love this theme and will definitely be trying to revisit it again with a couple more projects before the week's end, but for now I have two projects to share.

The day after I posted the challenge, I received in my order of the latest Webster's Pages papers. I'll admit that I simply love this company and truly didn't pay that close of attention to the details of the paper so I was thrilled when I received it to see that it was entirely based upon FairyTales and Once Upon a Time...karma (the line is called Magical Wishes!)

When I saw this paper, I knew that I needed to use it with these photos that Kara took of Kat and I last spring...

This is definitely one of those photos that you need to click on to see it better.

I had to throw in a couple of Unity stamps to finish off the layout. For this green ladybug, I stamped him onto green paper and then colored his spots using my white signo pen.

Supplies used:
*Webster's Pages Magical Wishes paper collection
*Unity Stamp Co. Little Buggers
*Unity Stamp Co. Linden Branch
*fleur de lis (I think this is from Tattered Angels or Melissa Frances...not sure which)
*Making Memories journaling paper
*Martha Stewart flat-backed gems
*signo white pen

This next project was inspired by this photo. I saved this photo years ago off the internet as an inspiration piece just because those pink trees made me feel so happy. Unfortunately, I failed to note where I found the picture so I am afraid that I can't credit who created it...although, I really wish that I could because I really LOVE IT! This is what whimsy and magic is all about....

But I was looking at this new tree stamp, Carefree Moments Oak, created by Lindsay for Unity and those pink trees came to mind. I had drunk a glass or two of wine at the time, so I just went with it and had some fun with creating a pink tree like you would see in "Once Upon a Time..."

The image was colored using my watercolor pencils and then I used my signo pen again for the tree branch detail.

Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Carefree Moments Oak
*Unity Stamp Co. Feb kom (enjoy sentiment)
*Making Memories paper (pink)
*K&Company paper (green)
*watercolor pencils
*StazOn jet black inkpad
*black brads
*signo white pen
