In the midst of it all I have been creating and playing with my photography so I have a few things to share today.
On Friday (I think), we had a half-way warm day and were all going a bit stir crazy so we decided to head out to the college to walk the bike path. The scenery is pretty gray so it doesn't make for the best photography, but it allowed me to play with my camera some. All of these have been resized, but still click on them to get a larger view of what they actually look like.
Kat was in heaven. She loves to be outside and if she is allowed to walk without someone holding on to her...well, just look at that face, you can see how much she loves that!
Jacob hadn't been out to ride his bike since he got it Christmas morning so while we all walked, he played around on his bike.
I love this photo of the two of them...Ben is such an amazing kid-person! He and she stick together like glue when he is home. {off-topic: yesterday when we took him to the ER, it was going to be a 3 hour wait so I dropped him off and took her home to take a nap since it was naptime. I thought that I was never going to get her in the car with the hysterics she was having because we were leaving Dadden...}
Another cute one of those two.
Jacob would ride up behind her and "get" her which would just send her into a fit of giggles! So much fun!
My gorgeous family being patient with me while I learn my camera.

This was a card that I made New Year's Eve for a plethora of challenges happening over on SCS. It also fulfilled this week's kwernerdesignblog color challenge.
Supplies used:*Unity Stamp Co. Serenity Tree Single, Unity Stamp Co. Thinking about the Good Times, *Rhonna Farrer paper (die cut pink), *Basic Grey paper, *Cuttlebug swiss dot embossing folder, *pop dots, *Threading Water border punch, *Marvy Uchida scallop punch, *glitter, *glue pen
*****************************************For this second project, this was a layout that I did as my Guest DT spot on the Creatively Yours sketch site last month. You can see the sketch that I worked from here.
The subject of this layout is humorous to everyone, but Kat. This is the awful tradition of torturing her blankey by washing it. We had just put her blankey into the dryer when these photos were taken and she was distraught (amazingly enough, when I took the photo where she is looking at the dryer, the blankey just happened to be perfect in the spin that it is pressed up against the door window.)
Supplies used:
*Imaginisce paper
*American crafts Alpha stickers
*Prima flowers
*Dictionary paper
*MM Journaling spot
*Marvy Uchida punches
*MM trims and brads
*Bazzill cardstock
******************************************
If you read the Unity blog, then you have seen these next two projects, but I like to have a record of most my projects on my blog here so that I can go back and reference them.
When I look at this photo of Kat, all I see are those serious, almost-old-looking, eyes. The journaling says, Such Serious Eyes for Such a Little Girl... "Katherine, you have always been such an intense child. I catch you with these serious looks on your face and it scares me. I want you to have fun with your life. When you giggle, you simply sparkle so you need to make sure that you giggle lots. The battle is not worth it if you can't enjoy the fun in the end. Remember to have fun!"
Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Spunky Princess (all the punched pieces)
*Unity Stamp Co. Enjoy Your Story, Laugh (frame)
*Unity Stamp Co. Little Reminders (swirl behind the photo)
*SEI Chocolat papers
*Prima flowers
*MM bling brads
*watercolor pencils
*glitter
*glue pen
*****************************************
And finally just a simple little card to share...
Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Love & Meaning
*Scenic Route papers (red and sentiment)
*American crafts paper (black &white)
*black brads
*watercolor pencils
*black cardstock
If you have stuck through me for all of this, thank you! I promise to try and not get so behind on my posting anymore. I hope that you are having a fun weekend!
