Monday night is Scout night and Ben usually does the Scout thing with Jacob. Well, this week Ben is out of town so that errand fell to Kat and I. Because of certain circumstances this week, Jacob was only going to be there for an hour, but Scouts is 20 minutes away from our house. Scouts also happen to fall in the hours after Kat's bedtime so we were in a bit of a quandry about what to do between drop-off time and pick-up time that wouldn't have Kat yelling baby versions of obscenities at me.
I made a last minute decision to run to Michael's as I needed to pick up a sketch book for my Year of Color inspiration book (remind me later to tell you about this...I keep forgetting!) Huge MISTAKE as Michaels has all these new {gorgeous} Making Memories lines in...Sabrina and Chloe's Closet. Well, it was love at first sight and it means that I am NOT allowed to go shopping again until at least August.
And no, I did not pick up a sketch book...I bought that cute little Martha Stewart Valentine scallop punch instead...I think that it was a good trade esp. since I have already used it on 2 projects today! Do you see now why I should NEVER be making the Scout run??? :o)
Now onto the Cool Challenges:
One of my New Year's Resolutions is to get more SplitCoast Challenges completed. They have one daily and they are always so much fun!
This first card is from today's color challenge, CC201. I combined it with Amber's card sketch for this week... USCSC10, and used those gorgeous new Unity January KOM stamps...YUM! I adore this kit!!!
Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Love Etc. (January KOM)
*Bazzill cardstock
*CTMH inks (Breeze & Ocean)
*Cuttlebug Embossing folders
*Martha Stewart border punch
*Marvy Uchida Oval punches
*ribbon
*pop dots
This second card used the SCS sketch challenge from last week, SC210.
Supplies Used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Smoochy Lips
*Unity Stamp Co. Hugs & Kisses Sentiment
*MME papers
*ribbon
*brads
Now back to the Year in Color that I mentioned...this is a very cool year-long blog that Kari (artsymama is running.) Every month has a set color and then every week of that month has inspiration/instruction for the readers. It is INCREDIBLE. It's $12 to sign up, but that is only $1/month....money well spent in my opinion! Go check out what Kari has to say about it...here.
