I am chest-deep in boxes this week as our house is getting packed up, so today's card is a very simple, but I think, beautiful card. LPC Wedding project

It's project time for the Limelight Chicks and this month our theme is WEDDINGS!!

I created a little keepsake box and matching card with the wedding theme in mind, but there is nothing about them that says that they would only work for a wedding gift. The quote on the box says, "Life is a dream, realize it." So, that could work for any life-change event. I am thinking that it would be really great for graduation and then you could fill the tin with magnets or a notecard set.

The tin is about 5x7 and only about 1/2" deep (it's from Provocraft, I think.) I envision it as a little keepsake box where the bride could save a few flower petals, scraps of lace, beads, gift cards from the wedding presents, etc. Those tiny little things that you collect as a bride and want to keep.

Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Birdie Inspiration
*October Afternoon Very Merry Bake the Cookies (brown & blue polka)
*Jillibean Soup Old World Cabbage Stew- Carraway Seeds (blue floral)
*October Afternoon Detours- Walk in the Park (blue graph)
*Websters Pages Bloomers trim - Coco
*KaiserCraft Chocolate pearls
*Fiskars scallop border punch
*Martha Stewart border punch

Be sure to go check out what the rest of the girls have created for this wedding challenge...

June Peeks for Paper Makeup Stamps!!!

It's TIME! It's TIME! It's TIME!!

It's that time of the month when we get to see all the sneak peeks for Paper Makeup Stamps. I love this time of the month for PMS. ;o) (sorry, I couldn't resist!)

Today I get to feature a couple of the stamps from the Freckled Lemonade kit (even the name is ca-ute!)

I wanted to create something bright and happy with it, but remain within the "Relax" theme which just calls for a pretty basic layout. Just some simple stamping and a bit of watercolor pencil coloring.

Supplies used:
*Paper Makeup Stamp Freckled Lemonade kit (releases June 7th)
*Making Memories paper collection
*StazOn Jet black inkpad
*watercolor pencils
*Girls Paperie button {I am calling this my flower for one of the challenges this week. ;o) }
*Spellbinders die
*ribbon from Michael's

Be sure to head on over to the PMS blog to see all the sneaks from today, the ones from yesterday, and the ones tomorrow. Also be sure to check out the challenges for this week to inspire you. Then the release will be on the 7th. We will have a big blog hop that morning where you will get a discount code for the store and a fun release party that evening in the forum at 8:00 pm CST where we will have lots of fun chatting, prizes, and the releases going up in the store.

(do you realize that you have a chance to win the entire release if you participate in the challenges?!?! Go check them out HERE!)

Caffinated Cropper Customer Hop...We're BACK!!

{This is post #2 of 2 posts for today. My FWF/ FFC post is located below this one.}

Tis the season...the season for MOVING!
Amy was moving last weekend so we took the week off from the Caffinated Cropper hops, but we are back just in time for the CUSTOMER HOP! LOVE THAT!

Because of the week off, we are still working with May's kit, Birds of a Feather. (still priced at ONLY $29!! LOVE THAT TOO!!!)
This kit is so much fun. I would be happy just continuing to work with it! LOL!

Let me preface this first project by saying that sometimes my Creative Muse is inspired by interesting things. This project came from one of those interesting inspirations. I was looking at the gorgeous EAD vinyl that's included in this kit and there is always a tool included with the vinyl...the rub stick. I was looking at the rub stick and this awesome phrase, "What's the Word, Bird?" and thought how awesome would this be for a bookmark. So I rubbed the phrase onto the stick, punched a whole in the end using my Crop-o-dile, tied on a ribbon, added a little scallop detail around the edge with my pen...and look, I made a bookmark. LOL!

By itself, it's not much of a project to share so I had to attach it to a card front and I did that by simply sliding it through a little scrap of patterned paper that I added to the top corner of the card.

Supplies used:
*Pretty much everything is from the Birds of a Feather kit
*Fiskars border punch
*Crop-o-dile

I am also a big fan of ATC's so I was very excited to see these little plastic holders in the kit. Perfect for attaching ATC's to bags and purses!

Supplies used:
*EVERY single thing- Birds of a Feather kit

Don't forget that Amy is giving away a mini kit to one commenter who does the entire blog hop and then goes back to her blog and leaves a comment!

Now you need to hop on over to....

A Soft & Sweet Unity Share...

Good morning Unity peeps!

For today's card I combined a couple of this week's challenges from a couple of different places. The layout of my card came from this week's SCS sketch (#283) and of course, I turned the sketch, because you all know by now that I can NEVER use a sketch as intended. LOL!

The other inspiration for the card came from this week PlayDate Cafe Challenge which Limelight Papercrafts is sponsoring this week. I have never heard of this challenge before, but I have a good feeling that I am going to be a regular over there. They have beautiful challenges with an incredibly talented dt for inspiration. Go check it out esp. since the prize this week is from Limelight Papercrafts!

I loved this soft color palette and immediately thought about this gorgeous collection from SEI which has a lot of the same colors in it.

Supplies Used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Best Wishes & Blooms **
*SEI paper collection
*watercolor pencils
*Martha Stewart border punch
*ribbon **
*KaiserCraft pearls **
*Websters Pages Sparklers **

I am not going to be around the forums much today. (Today is Ben's retirement ceremony on base...yippee!) But I still wanted to give away a prize, so leave a comment and I will choose a random commenter to receive Love Bug and announce the winner on my FWF/FFC blog post tomorrow.

And before I forget, it's a new month which means two wonderful things.
A new Kit of the month:

And a wonderful new Guest Designer:

Now you need to hop on over to our new Guest Designer for June (yippee)....

A Bit of Paper Makeup Stamps Mojo...

Good Morning!
We are at 5 days and counting before the movers get here to pack up our house.
*eek*
It is coming up REALLY quickly!

I am plugging away here to have all my dt obligations for June created and blog posts scheduled before the 7th. Not sure if I am going to make that goal. Right now, I still have 19 projects to go (I started with about 30-35, but I am still optimistic. ;o) It's the actual sitting down and writing all those blog posts that may get me. LOL!

But for today, I do have a quick card to share that I made using my Paper Makeup Stamps and this week's Mojo Monday sketch (#141.)

I love those flutterbies from a couple of releases ago. They are so beautiful as a tiny little embellishment!

Supplies used:
*Paper Makeup Stamps Danni's Flutterbies
*Paper Makeup Stamps All That I Am... sentiment
*K&Company paper collection
*Making Memories ledger paper
*ribbon from Hobby Lobby
*Marvy Uchida scallop punches
*Nestabilities Labels die
*Kaisercraft flat back gems
*Fiskars border punch

I'll chat with you all again tomorrow...

Change of Address

Last week, I pulled out all my Limelight Papercrafts goodies with the intent of making a fun, but yet simple, Change of Address card. Here is what I came up with. I love that it is simple and super summery and bright. Just a fun card to send to friends/family to let them know that we have moved before their Christmas cards are returned with "address unknown" stickers. ;o)

This is normally an image that I would color, but there is no way that I could do that for the approximately 40 cards like this that I need to make and still be ready to do the actual move. LOL! So simple black & white (with just a touch of red in the way of a welcoming doorway) is the way to go!

Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Wee Forest Shanty
*Martha Stewart border punch
*Nestabilities labels die cut
*Marvy Uchida circle punch
*kraft, black, and white card stock
*red watercolor pencil
