Today's the Day!!!

Happy Birthday Unity Stamp Co!!!!!

Today is officially the first anniversary/birthday for Unity Stamp Co. The stamps started officially flying out the door one year ago today on May 1st. It's been a phenomenal year and I am so thrilled that I have been along for the ride.

Today is also the official release of the May kit of the month. You have gotten to see glimpses of it all week, but now you can see this amazing kit in all of its glory. I have said it before and quite honestly say it every month, but I am going to say it again... I love this kit. Every single stamp in it is so perfectly usable and cute!

Starting this month, there will be a new challenge centered around the kits of the month. Each month, Jennifer Buck will post a challenge to be done with the former month's kit (so for this month, the challenge would use the April kom.) The Dt will do the challenge on the first of each month using this months kit. So for this months challenge, the customers are using April's kom while the DT is using the May kom. But one challenge participant will be chosen to be a guest designer. How cool is that??!

This months challenge is to use this sketch by Jenni Buck... {upload to Splitcoast using the keyword, USGDC01.

Isn't that a wonderful sketch? It can be used for a card OR a scrapbook layout...it's so versatile. I still want to use it on a card, but I simply ran out of time this week.

But anyway, here is the layout that I created using the sketch....

Supplies used:
*Bazzill Kraft
*MMpaper
*MME paper
*Martha Stewart border punch
*watercolor pencils
*Memories brown inkpad
*ribbon
*copper brads
*Prima flowers

Go check out what the rest of the dt did with this sketch:

Like every other day this week, we are having a special challenge on the Splitcoast forum for today. Today's challenge has been issued from Jimmi and it was to use the very first Unity stamp that you received. I stretched this challenge a bit since my very first stamp was Wish Sticks and I have been using it a lot lately. So I decided to use one of my stamps that I got within my first month of working with Unity and this is what I created...

This stamp has been re-sized since those first stamp days. Back then it was a bigger stamp and in a different kit, but now I love it even more. It has such a cute style and is in a fabulous kit called Little Buggers.
Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Little Buggers
*Basic Grey papers
*Martha Stewart border punch
*ribbon
*corner rounder
*watercolor pencils

That's all for today. I will be back tomorrow with a layout or maybe two if I find time to get creative for National Scrapbooking Day!
