FFC-All About Plaid

Hello Friday Peeps!
It's going to be a gorgeous day here today, so Kat and I have a lunch date with Jacob for a picnic in the park. I can't wait and love that my 16 yo son will still do that with us (of course, he does get a free lunch out of it which is good incentive for any 16 yo boy...hehe!)

Today for our Friday Fun Challenge, Kimme issued this challenge:
Feb 25-- I am going to a sorority date party this weekend trying to re-live my college days (what I remember of them.)  The theme for this party is Perfectly Plaid.  We will all be wearing anything we can find in plaid; skirts, shirts, pj's, anything and everything plaid, and the more you clash the better.  The challenge is to make a card with plaid on it.  Any colors are fine.

And here is my card....

Supplies used:
*Paper Makeup Stamps Dandy Wishes set
*October Afternoon papers
*Nestabilities Labels diecut
*Tim Holtz ticket
*seam binding
*button
*Fancy Pants pins
*KaiserCraft bling
*Palette burnt umber ink pad
*corner rounder

Going in Circles for FFC...

Hello everybody!!!
It's Friday...Yippeee!
And that means it's time for two of my favorite activities...
Friday Fun Challenge
and
Unity's Friends with Flair!!!

Today's Friday Fun Challenge comes to us from Kimme...
Feb 19-- Three Circles.  I will be visiting Mickey this week.  I have always said that if I got a tattoo it would simply be the 3 circles that represent the great mouse.  My challenge to you is to make a card with at least 3 circles on it.

For my card, I got to pull out one of my new Itty Bitty kits from Unity Stamp Co, No Greater Love. I layered a doily behind it that had been spritzed with Vintage Pink Glimmer Mist to match those old Basic Grey papers.

Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. No Greater Love
*Basic Grey paper collection
*Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist- vintage pink
*velvet ribbon
*Martha Stewart border punch
*watercolor pencils
*Nestabilities Lacey circle dies
*Palette burnt umber inkpad
*kraft card stock

Oh Happy Day Store Kit Hop!

The Unity Stamp Co. blog is bursting with DT artwork today using the Store kit, Oh Happy Day, for February. This could not have had better timing since yesterday was Jacob's 16th birthday. This is the card that I gave him for his birthday...

This kit is simply awesome. There are so many fun combinations and creative possibilities for this one. Lisa did an absolutely fabulous job designing it!!

Jacob's favorite color is red and I love these masculine papers from Cosmo Cricket (this is one of my favorite lines of theirs ever simply because of their lush combo of red and orange...so perfect for guys!)

I used my watercolor pencils on the stamp words to create the ombre effect using orange on top and red on bottom.

Supplies used:
*Unity Stamp Co. Oh Happy Day
*Cosmo Cricket paper collection
*ribbon
*Martha Stewart border punch
*watercolor pencils
*StazOn jet black ink pad

Be sure to check out the Unity Stamp Co. blog to see what everyone else created with this awesome kit!
