It's no secret that I ADORE the kits of the months from Unity Stamp Co!!
Every!
Single!
One!
Of!
Them!
So I was very excited to learn that this week's Hip Hop was going to focus on the old ones because, quite frankly, I just have not given some of these older kits as much love as I would have liked.
***********
For my first project today, I created a layout using mainly the October kit of the month, thinking about THE GOOD TIMES.

I also threw in a journaling frame from the gorgeous VERY FIRST kom, Bliss & a Birdie.

The photo came from our vacation and it was simply one of those fun self-portrait (i.e. hold the camera out in front of you yourself and see what happens) photos that I actually think turned out pretty cute of Kat & I.
Because this layout has so much white space, it has a very Clean&Simple look, but I still managed to clutter it up with all those fun details (i.e. stamps) that I love to add. I think that it makes for a pretty fun look to the overall layout.
Supplies used:
*MM papers
*eyelet trim
*watercolor pencils
*CTMH Ocean inkpad
*StazOn Jet Black inkpad

My second project is a card using the July kom, it's the little things.
I absolutely LOVED this kit, but we were moving to Illinois in July of last year so my kit hardly got even touched. I wanted to change that this week. I plan to use this kit for this weekend's blog hop too... at least that is the plan right now, but I never know exactly where my creative muse might go when she gets in the mood!
Supplies used:
*Chatterbox papers
*Memories brown inkpad
*MM copper brads
*corner rounder
*Martha Stewart border punch
*Stampin Up ribbon
*pop dots

And don't forget that the mega Kit of the Month Blog Hop starts tomorrow!!!!
